Noscapine reduces the cough reflex and is used in the symptomatic treatment of nonproductive cough. Indicated in adults, adolescents and children over 6 years.
You should talk to your doctor if you do not feel any improvement or if you feel less well after 5 days.
Never use Nosca-Méréprine syrup :
- If you are allergic to the active substance or to any of the other ingredients contained in this medicine.
- Respiratory failure.
- Cough with asthma.
- In case of pregnancy.
- In children under 6 years of age.
Always make sure to use this medicine in exact accordance with the indications of your doctor or pharmacist. Check with your doctor or pharmacist in case of doubt.
To open the bottle, press the cap with child safety while turning in the opposite direction of the needles of a watch.
The recommended dose is 15 to 30 ml 3 to 4 times per day (= 24 hours).
The maximum daily dose is 120 ml.
The interval between 2 doses should be at least 4 hours.
- The active substance is the hydrochloride, noscapine, at a rate of 1 mg per ml of syrup.
- The other ingredients are : citric acid (E330), methylparaben (E218), saccharin sodium, sucrose, essence of raspberry and purified water.
