Agiolax® is a herbal medicine against constipation.

Agiolax® contains 2 active substances: seeds of Plantago Ovata that swell in the gut, stimulate the wall of the large intestine and, thereby, speed up the transit and of the fruits of Cassia angustifolia (senna), which, through the action of the intestinal flora, stimulate the plexus of the nervous sub?mucosa and the plexus of the nervous of the large intestine.

Agiolax® is indicated in the treatment of constipation and in cases where soft stool is desirable (e.g. hemorrhoids) and after any severe illness has been ruled out.

Taking Agiolax® will always be accompanied by the absorption of liquid and the pellets will be swallowed without being chewed. An interval of half an hour must be observed after taking other medications. The use of laxatives for long periods should be avoided : it is necessary to adapt the lifestyle and diet to solve the problem of constipation (e.g. taking sufficient drinks, diet rich in residues, and exercise).

Starting Dose: 1 or 2 teaspoonfuls of Agiolax® with a glass of liquid in the evening. Swallow without chewing.

After 24 to 48 hours : according to the results obtained, reduce the dosage to a teaspoon in the evening. Then, usually half a teaspoon in the evening will be sufficient.

In the absence of results, it is essential to consult the doctor.

The maximum daily dose of Agiolax® is 2.5 teaspoons.
