Maalox antacid 230mg/400mg/10ml susp orale 250ml

Maalox Antacid and Maalox Antacid Strong are medicinal products based on aluminum hydroxide (aluminum oxide hydrate) and magnesium hydroxide.

Maalox Antacid and Maalox Antacid Strong are indicated for the short-term symptomatic management of gastric acidity and gastric pain. This means that you can not use these drugs for more than 14 days without consulting a
doctor. It is also important to stop the treatment as soon as your symptoms have disappeared.

The active substances are aluminum oxide hydrate and magnesium hydroxide. 10 ml suspension (2 tea spoons) contain 460 mg of aluminum oxide hydrate (= 230 mg of aluminum oxide) and 400 mg of magnesium hydroxide.

- The other ingredients are : bromide domiphène, citric acid anhydrous, sodium saccharin, sorbitol (E420) 70%, mannitol (E421), peppermint essential oil, concentrated hydrochloric acid, hydrogen peroxide, purified water.

The recommended dose is :

• Adults and children from 12 years :

2 to 4 teaspoons (= 10 to 20 ml) taken 4 times per day. Preferably one hour after the 3 main meals and at bedtime.
