Urocystil is a traditional medicine based on plants used in adult women to relieve the symptoms of urinary tract infection mild, such as burning sensation while urinating, as well as the pressing need and repeated urinating.
The active substance is dry extract of leaf of bearberry. Each tablet contains 400 mg dry extract of Arctostaphylos uva-ursi (L.) Spreng., folium (leaves of bearberry) (3,5-5,5:1), equivalent to 64-96 mg of arbutin.
Extraction solvent : Ethanol 60 % V/V.
The other components are :
Tablet core : microcrystalline cellulose, di-calcium phosphate dihydrate, pregelatinised starch, talc, colloidal anhydrous silica, magnesium stearate.
Tablet film coating : polyvinyl alcohol, talc, macrogol, titanium dioxide (E171).
The recommended dose for adult women is 2 tablets 3 times per day.
The tablets should be swallowed with a large glass of water.
The duration of treatment should not exceed a week, except on medical advice.
In case of persistence of symptoms after 4 days of treatment, or worsening during the use of Urocystil, tell your doctor or pharmacist.
