Hydrogel absorbent material that consists largely of glycerin (65%) and water (17.5 percent) embedded in an acrylamide cross-linked (17.5 per cent).
The low acidity of the glycerin (pH-4) slows down all the growth potential of bacteria and fungi in the wound. The development of unpleasant odors is avoided. The gel layer absorbent thick, which absorbs 3 to 4 times its own moisture, reduces the number of dressing changes.
Novogel does not adhere to the wound and is easily removed without leaving residue.
